On October 29-30, 2019 the I International Scientific and Practical Conference «Education for the XXI Century: Challenges, Problems and Prospects» was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.

More than 250 people, including 48 Doctors of Sciences; 143 Candidates of Sciences; 18 representatives from 8 countries (Kazakhstan – 1, China – 4, Uzbekistan – 2, Slovakia – 1, Morocco – 1, the USA – 1, Poland – 6, Belarus – 2) took part in the work of the conference.

During the plenary session the proclaimed reports have highlighted: the tendencies in reforming doctoral training in the European Higher Education Area, prospects for the development of education for a gifted personality in Ukraine; the issues of the development of gifted students’ digital intelligence in the context of the concept of a new Ukrainian school; the innovative tendencies of pedagogical preparation of masters of education; the methodological principles of higher education development of Ukraine in the 21-st century; the ergonomic quality of academic multimedia presentations: criteria for self-assessment; the problems of implementation of innovations in the educational environment of higher education; actualization of the retrospective experience of the early twentieth century; dilemmas of the development of higher pedagogical education in Poland in the 21-st century; the issues of innovative activity medical education in the USA in the XXI century and others. In discussing the plenary session reports 48 people took an active part.
