On May 19, 2021 on the basis of Educational and Scientific Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko the V-th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists «EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY: IMAGE, MOBILITY AND SOCIAL PERSPECTIVES» began its work.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss a wide range of academic and social problems of students in European Higher Education Area in the context of digitalization of the university.
The conference was held in the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project Module «Europeanization of Doctoral Studies in the Field of Education: Interdisciplinary and Inclusive approaches» at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko (https://jmm.sspu.edu.ua/).
The target groups of the conference were students, undergraduates, postgraduate students, lecturers of higher education institutions, the general educational community interested in the issues of innovative development of higher education.
248 participants were registered to take part in the conference, including: 10 doctors of sciences; 19 candidates of sciences; 26 postgraduate students; 193 students.
The conference was also attended by the representatives from around the world (8 countries), namely: the People’s Republic of China; Ecuador; Republic of Turkmenistan; Republic of Tajikistan; Republic of Uzbekistan; Kingdom of Jordan; Germany; Switzerland.
The conference was held in a mixed format.
The following issues were discussed: the image of a modern teacher of an educational institution, peculiarities of personal realization of modern students in the conditions of radical digitalization of the educational space of the university; specifics of system interaction: «university administration – student government – teaching staff»; the relationship of social and academic mobility of students; technologies of university image formation: analysis of foreign and domestic experience; political and civic activism of modern youth; social and academic inclusion in European and domestic higher education; management of educational IT projects; project management in the social sphere: prospects for the formation of the image of modern university.
On May 20, 2021 the conference continued in sections.
