On October 10, 2018, a public lecture of prof. Semenog O.M. «Academic Culture of the Researcher in the Educational Space of the University: Lingua-Axiological Aspect» was held for the undergraduate students at the Faculty of Foreign and Slavic Philology of the University.
The actuality of the topic of the lecture is to expand the system of knowledge on academic ethics; the culture of academic writing, academic communication, the formation of cognitive-discursive skills of operational processing and modeling scientific texts of different genres; professional language-communicative skills of the dialogue with the wide scientific community, in particular within the framework of an interdisciplinary expert environment, in the process of presentation of materials and results of scientific research.
The chosen theme correlates with the program requirements of the author’s courses «Culture of the scientific language» - for the undergraduate students (section «Scientific language culture - the basis of professional activity of the researcher» and «Academic culture of the researcher: European and national experience» - for the postgraduate students); the chosen topic meets the requirements of the Ukrainian language program for the pupils of the 10-th – 11-th forms.

The lecture was conducted with the use of a large amount of scientific materials. The significant volume of actual material, built in a logical sequence, has been demonstrated to the students in accessible form. The experienced lecturer advisable guided by general didactic principles, has deeply and fully revealed each issue, in particular academic culture as a spiritual, scientific, educational, and nation-building phenomenon.
Within the framework of the lecture the Erasmus + Jean Monnet project Module «Europeanization of doctoral studies in the field of education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches», which was being implemented at the university, was presented to the undergraduates.
The purpose of the project is Europeanization of the content, the methodological and organizational fundamentals of doctoral studies programs by means of introducing European standards of doctoral research in Ukraine and forming inclusive research environment. The proposed module is innovative thanks to the comprehensive Europeanization of the content and the use of innovative methods and forms of teaching based on constructing new knowledge and critical dialogue.
Methodological approaches to the implementation of the module such as interdisciplinary, systemic, comparative, inclusive are described, special attention is paid to the praxeological approach.
An overview of the problems of forming the research competence of higher education graduates, students of the MAN is done; attention has been paid to the academic culture of the researcher as an integral component of national innovation security.
The intensification of intellectual cooperation and thought-and-speech activity of the audience has been facilitated by the task of forming culture of academic integrity and scientific language culture, rich illustrative materials using multimedia.
