On September 10, 2020 the dissertations of the postgraduate students who were the participants of Jean Monnet Module project on the Europeanization of doctoral programs in the field of educational theory were defended at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.
The first dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 011 Educational, pedagogical sciences (field of knowledge 01 – Education/Pedagogy) on the topic «Organizational and pedagogical foundations of theological education in the universities of the Federal Republic of Germany» was defended by Yu.V. Taraban. The dissertation is a complex research, within which the theoretical, normative, organizational, substantive and methodical bases of theological education in the universities of the Federal Republic of Germany have been clarified and the possibilities of creative use of progressive German experience of theological education in Ukraine have been determined.
Participation of Yu.V. Taraban in Jean Monnet Module project has contributed to the systematization of his knowledge about the development of the European Higher Education Area in the context of the Bologna Process, intensification of participation in the life of the scientific community of the university and academic mobility. In particular, during the work on the dissertation Y. Taraban made a study trip to the University of Westphalia named after Wilhelm, took an active part in the meetings of the delegations of German theologians in Ukraine, constantly communicated with the German professors and students, who helped him to master the research problem comprehensively and defend the dissertation successfully.
