On December 1, 2020 the final classes on the course «ACADEMIC WRITING» were held for the postgraduate students of the second year of study of the specialty 011 Educational, pedagogical sciences (field of knowledge 01 – Education/Pedagogy). The purpose of the classes was to test doctoral students’ knowledge of the studied course with the help of test control. Doctoral students were asked to fill in a feedback on the evaluation of their own activities, the work of the partners during the course; to emphasize their positive achievements as well as difficulties during classes. The lively discussion raised the questions about the expectations of the course; in addition, the postgraduate students’ recommendations for improving the course «ACADEMIC WRITING» were very significant for future work. Doctoral students have expressed an opinion on increasing the number of hours on the course «ACADEMIC WRITING», as practice communication in English is not sufficient for them.
