On April 20, 2021, the classes of the doctoral seminar «Culture of Scientific Mentoring» took place. The topic of the classes is «Scientific mentoring in reforming Ukrainian education on the basis of Europeanness». The topic of the classes was planned for 4 hours.
The following issues were clarified at the classes:
- Mentoring is one of the components of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Mentoring culture in Ukrainian and European universities.
- Practice of scientific mentoring for effective scientific activity and teaching: European, national and institutional dimensions.
- Scientific and pedagogical mentoring as support for young teachers of professional skills.
- Scientific and pedagogical mentoring as one of the components of adaptation and socialization of a novice teacher.
- Specific qualities of a research mentor: identity, democracy, dialogue, research, leadership, social orientation, cooperation.
- Functions of mentors: socio-pedagogical, advisory, spiritual.
Previously, the students took an active part in the VII-th International Scientific and Practical Conference «INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION: GLOBAL, EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL DIMENSIONS OF CHANGES» (moderator is Sbruieva Alina Anatoliyivna, Doctor of pedagogical sciences, Professor, project coordinator Erasmus + Jean Monet Module «Europeanization of Doctoral Studies in the Field of Education: Interdisciplinary and Inclusive approaches» Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko).

- Collaboration and mutual learning in the process of conducting researches: the Ukrainian Association of Educational Researchers and its partners (Zabolotna Oksana Adolfivna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, President of the Ukrainian Association of Educational Researchers, Uman);
- University rankings as an innovative technology for assessing the quality of higher education (Kurbatov Serhiy Volodymyrovych, Doctor of Philosophy, Senior Researcher, Professor of the Department of Sociology, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Adviser of the Presidium of National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv).
