On May 13, 2021 the defence of the dissertation of a postgraduate student in specialty 13.00.01 – general pedagogy and history of pedagogy at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko took place.

The topic of the dissertation which was presented by Datsko Olga Vasylivna was «Activities of the European Association of Universities in the context of the formation of regional educational space».

The scientific superviser is doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Boychenko Marina Anatoliyivna. The paper comprehensively clarifies the theoretical foundations and areas of activity of the European Association of Universities in the context of the formation of regional educational space, namely: the state of elaboration of the problem of EAU activity as a complex multifaceted phenomenon and conceptual bases of formation of regional educational space in the second half of the XX-th century and at the beginning of the XXI-st century are characterized; the prerequisites and stages of the development of the European Association of Universities are determined; the directions of activity of the European Association of Universities in the context of formation of regional educational space are outlined; the current state and prospects for the development of university organizations in terms of implementing the principles of the Bologna Process in Ukraine are highlighted.
