On June 17, 2021 at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the report of prof. Sbruieva A.A. for the implementation of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet project Module «Europeanization of Doctoral Programs in the Field of Education: Interdisciplinary and Inclusive approaches» (01.09.2018-30.08.2021) took place.

The aim of the project is Europeanization of methodological, organizational and content fundamentals of doctoral studies programs in the field of educational theory through the introduction of interdisciplinary training courses; European standards of doctoral research in Ukraine; formation of an inclusive research environment of Ukrainian university.

 ACTIVITIES FOR COMPLETION OF PROJECT TASKS

TEACHING OF DISCIPLINES:

Training Course 1. Comparative Higher education: National, European and Global Contexts (Prof. Alina Sbruieva) -  30 hours;

Training Course 2. Researcher’s Academic Culture: European and national Contexts (Prof. Olena Semenog) – 30 hours;

Training Course 3. Academic Writing (Assistant Professor Zhanna Chernyakova) – 30 hours;

The intensive courses:

Training Course 4. Intensive course for doctoral students: Research Mentorship Culture (Prof. Olena Semenog) – 10 hours;

Training Course 5. Doctoral seminar: “Monitoring Quality of Doctoral Research Work” (Prof. Alina Sbruieva) – 10 hours.

 Learning outcomes

• Developed and published methodical providing of the training courses (programs for all courses and manuals for the courses 1-3).
• Training courses are included in the educational-scientific program 011 - Educational, pedagogical sciences (1 - obligatory and 4 - at the choice of postgraduate students).

ORGANIZATION OF EXTRACURICULAR ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PROJECT:

• Participation in the organization and holding of international scientific-practical conferences and all-Ukrainian seminars.

International conferences:

• «Innovative development of higher education: global, European and national dimensions of changes» (2019, 2020, 2021).
• «European University: image, mobility and social perspectives» (2019, 2020, 2021);
• «Academic culture of the researcher»(2019, 2020, 2021);
• «Education for the XXI century: challenges, problems, prospects» (2019-2020).

All-Ukrainian seminars:

• «Comparative Studies in Pedagogical Education and Adult Education» (2018 - 2020);
• «Formation of the foundations of the academic culture of the researcher in the dimensions of pedagogical interaction» (April 15, 2019 -2021).

Outcomes

• Programs and materials of 11 international conferences, programs of 6 all-Ukrainian seminars have been published.
• About 2,000 scientists, lecturers, postgraduate students, students, teachers, representatives of the administration of higher education institutions took part in the conferences and seminars.

• PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES OF NATIONAL RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS AND NETWORKS:
  • Ukrainian Educational Research Association.
  • Ukrainian Associationof Professors and Researcherson European Integration.
  • Participation in conducting and discussing previous defences (professional seminars) and defences of candidate and doctoral dissertations in the specialty «Educational, pedagogical sciences» on the problems of comparative pedagogy, professional training of future teachers and the history of pedagogy.
  • Organization of a summer school on «Academic Writing» (August, 2019 - 2021).

Outcomes

• Most of the lecturers of the department and postgraduate students are members of UERA and participate in the activities of the organization.
• During the project more than 20 dissertations have been discussed at the meetings of specialized councils.

Applicants, the participants of the summer school, receive preparation for admission to postgraduate studies in a foreign language and for further participation in doctoral studies.

• Dissemination of own experience of educational and scientific activity in European studies and preparation of doctoral students in the specialty of educational, pedagogical sciences.

PLANS FOR FURTHER IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT

• Teaching European studies courses.
• Approbation of manuals for European studies courses.
• Conduct research activities on issues of innovative development of education.
• Further expansion of participation in national and international research organizations and networks.
• Generalization of experience in PhD preparation on the basis of interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches in scientific publications.
• Dissemination of information about the experience of scientific and educational activity in the field of PhD preparation in educational, pedagogical sciences on the created site and in social networks.
• Expansion of the topics of European comparative and pedagogical research.
• Intensification of cooperation with all-Ukrainian and international scientific networks.
