On October 8, 2021 at the Chair of Pedagogy of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko with the participation of the members of the Doctoral House of educational, pedagogical sciences a preliminary defence of the dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in specialty 13.00.01 – general pedagogy and history of pedagogy «Theoretical and methodological principles of innovative activity of medical colleges of US universities» Kulichenko A.K. took place. Scientific consultant is the head of the chair of pedagogy of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Boychenko M.A. The scientific novelty of the research results obtained by the dissertation student is that for the first time in the domestic pedagogical science a comprehensive study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovative activities of medical colleges of US universities is presented, namely: based on the methodological guidelines of Ukrainian and foreign comparativists, the author’s methodological model of comparative pedagogical research has been developed and systematically applied. It is based on theoretical generalizations and taking into account political and socio-economic conditions medical colleges of US universities. The essential meaning of the concept of «innovation» is comprehensively revealed with the help of multilevel conceptual and terminological tools. The origins and stages of development of innovative activity of medical colleges of US universities are revealed and substantiated. The normative-legal foundations of innovative activity of medical colleges of US universities are established. The current state of innovative educational and scientific activity of medical colleges of US universities is characterized. The genesis of innovative activity in medical education on the territory of modern Ukraine is clarified. The innovative potential of creative use in the national pedagogical theory and practice of the progressive experience of the USA in the aspect of the researched problem at the national, local and institutional levels is determined.
The dissertation was recommended for defence in a specialized scientific council in the specialty 13.00.01 – general pedagogy and history of pedagogy.
