On February 19, 2020 the next lecture of the course «Comparative Higher Education Pedagogy: National, European and Global Contexts» (CompHEd) took place. The topic for discussion was «Socio-political, socio-economic, cultural and educational factors of higher education development in knowledge society».

The following issues were considered:

1. Political and economic globalization as a factor of the development of higher education in the world, the EU and Ukraine.

2. Europeanization as a factor of the development of higher education in Ukraine.

3. Internationalization of higher education in the world, the EU and Ukraine.

4. Massification of higher education in the world, the EU and Ukraine.

5. Diversification of student contingents and universitization of higher education in the world, the EU and Ukraine.

The topic of discussion was the relevance of all the mentioned factors for the development of higher education in Ukraine and, and, in particular, Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.
