On April 17, 2020 the lecture «Praxeological and behavioral-interactive components of academic culture» from the course «Researcher’s Academic Culture: European and national experience» and a workshop «Linguistic and Cultural Aspects of Academic Culture» for the participants of the project took place.
The specifics of praxeological and behavioral-interactive components of the researcher’s academic culture, peculiarities of teaching culture, language and communication culture at the university, skills and abilities based on critical thinking, professional leadership in the sphere of research were outlined.
The following issues were considered: scientific language culture as a component of academic culture; a text-genre approach to the formation of academic culture; architectonics of different genres of scientific discourse; academic communication: communication strategies and tactics; means of cohesion and coherence; argumentation and persuasiveness. The following empirical methods were used: conversation, dialogue, discussion of research problems in the formation of academic culture.
The part of the classes was held as an online round meeting table «Academic culture of the participants of the educational process in terms of distance learning», which was attended by 54 participants. The postgraduate students were joined by the first vice-rector, Ph.D., prof. Pshenichna L.V., Chairman of the Commission on Ethics and Academic Integrity, candidate of philosophy sciences, senior lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology Ponomarenko T.O.; the undergraduates, postgraduate students, lecturers, members of the commission on ethics and academic integrity, Ph.D., a head of the Center for Quality Assurance in Higher Education Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko Yachmenyk M.M., a Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Computer Support of the Scientific Library Borysenko O.I.
The emphasis is placed on compliance with the principles of academic integrity, respect for the intellectual work of colleagues, responsibility for the quality of the educational process.
