On June 1, 2020 the doctoral seminar «Research Mentorship Culture» for the postgraduate students in the field of training 01 Education/Pedagogy began. The schedule of the classes and methodical materials for the classes (workshops) were published on the project website (see the Training Courses page). The first class was devoted to the topic «Phenomenology of scientific mentoring: the genesis and modernity of European and national experience».

The essence, types, functions of mentoring, retrospective analysis of the origins of scientific mentoring (academic mentoring) were outlined at the classes; the essence of mentoring in science and education, the values of the institute of mentoring, the criteria of scientific mentoring were focused on as well.

While preparing for the doctoral seminar on May 14-17, 2020, the postgraduate students carried out the project «My Scientific Mentor» within the framework of the events dedicated to the Days of Science at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.

The postgraduate students participated in SAIUP on the couch webinars, the SAIUP Academic Integrity Project in Ukraine, implemented by the American Councils for International Education («Academic Integrity: From Theory to Practice» (Victor Drozdov, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Associate Professor of the Chair of Ukrainian and World History and Culture of  Izmail State University of Humanities).
