On May 14-15, 2021 the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference «ACADEMIC CULTURE OF THE RESEARCHER IN EDUCATIONAL SPACE: EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL EXPERIENCE» was held at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.

The conference was organized as a part of the Jean Monnet Module project at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko (Project site https://jmm.sspu.edu.ua/index.php).

The purpose of the conference was to exchange of relevant ideas and positive pedagogical experience in shaping the academic culture of the researcher in educational space.

The following issues were discussed at the conference:

Section1. Academic culture and ethics in higher education: European, national dimensions.

Section 2. Text in research paradigms.

Section 3. Academic communication: communicative strategies and tactics.

Section 4. Formation of the foundations of academic integrity among the  students.

Section 5. Current problems of research in the field of linguistics, literature, vocational education and adult education.

The organizing committee of the conference received 234 applications, 183 participants were registered, including: 36 doctors of sciences, 73 candidates of sciences, 75 young scientists. The representatives of Ukraine, Poland, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Belarus, Estonia, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Israel registered for the conference.

Geography of the conference participants from Ukraine was Sumy, Sumy region, Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Lutsk, Vinnytsia, Pryluky, Ternopil, Mukachevo, Zaporizhia, Melitopol, Kharkiv, Slovyansk, Horlivka, Donetsk region, Uman, Rivne, Hlukhiv.
