    On May 7, 2020 the training classes of the course were continued. The following issues were considered in the framework of workshop number 3:

    • Application of the interdisciplinary approach to the characteristic of the state problem development in the comparative pedagogical research.
    • Comparative-terminological analysis in the context of the characteristics of the state of problem development in the comparative pedagogical research.
    • A systematic approach to characterize the state of problem development in the comparative pedagogical research.

    The postgraduate students-participants of the project prepared such practical tasks for collective discussion as:

    On May 6, 2020  a workshop number  2 of the doctoral seminar «Monitoring the quality of doctoral research» took place. The following issues became the subject of the discussion of the participants of the class, which was attended by the postgraduate students and supervisors:

    1. The object and subject of the comparative pedagogical research.

    2. The tasks of the comparative pedagogical research.

    3. Methodological approaches used in the comparative pedagogical research.

    4. Methods of the comparative pedagogical research.

    5. Scientific novelty of the comparative pedagogical research: categories, logic and style of presentation.

    6. The practical significance of the comparative pedagogical research: the levels and aspects of consideration.

    7. Interdependence and mutuality of the components of the scientific apparatus of the comparative pedagogical research.

    Практичні завдання, виконані здобувачами PhD ступеня, включали такі:

    On May 6-07, 2020 the meetings of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference for Students and Young Scientists «European University: Image, Mobility and Social Perspectives» were held in Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.

    About 300 applications have been submitted for participation in the conference. The conference was attended by 5 doctors of sciences, professors; about 20 candidates of sciences, associate professors; postgraduate students, undergraduates, teachers of secondary schools and students. There were representatives of educational institutions from 7 countries of Europe and the world among the participants.

    The main problems of development of European higher education, which were the subject of the conference, included, first of all, the following:

    • Peculiarities of personal realization of modern students.
    • Specifics of system interaction: university administration - student self-government - teaching staff.
    • Relationship between social and academic mobility.
    • Technologies of image formation of the university: analysis of foreign and domestic experience.
    • Political and civic activism of modern youth.
    • Management of educational IT projects.
    • Project management in the social sphere: prospects for the formation of the image of a modern university.
    • Imageology of a modern teacher of a European higher education institution.

    The discussion of the issues considered by the conference participants showed the interested attitude of the students to the image of their university, the image of the lecturer and the student, to their professional future. Holding a conference in the format of a ZOOM-conference did not interfere with a lively discussion of the problems, contributed to the development of the conference participants’ skills of presenting their speeches, critical and creative understanding of the issues under consideration.

    On May 5, 2020 the first workshop on the training course on «Problems of comparative pedagogical research» took place. The following aspects of the formulation of certain aspects of the introduction to the dissertation research were discussed:

    1. The actuality of the problem of comparative pedagogical research at the social and pedagogical levels in the supranational and national dimensions.

    2. Legislative and regulatory documents of international and national level, which determine the actuality of a particular problem of comparative pedagogical research.

    3. The contradictions, the solution of which is aimed at the research.

    4. The typology of the source base of the study: types and kinds of sources.

    The class was attended by the postgraduate students and lecturers – project participants and members of the Chair of Pedagogy.
