On March 30, 2020 the webinar «Academic Integrity: Peculiarities of the Anti-Plagiarism Program StrikePlagiarism» was held (the organizer - Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine).

The postgraduate students of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko within the courses «Scientific Ukrainian language», «Researcher’s Academic Culture: European and national Contexts», doctoral seminars took part in the webinar «Academic Integrity: Peculiarities of the Anti-Plagiarism Program StrikePlagiarism».

The webinar was conducted by Kotun K.V., candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior researcher of the Department of Foreign Systems of Pedagogical and Adult Education of Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education, member of the UNESCO Department of Continuing Professional Education of the XXI-st Century NAES of Ukraine.

After the webinar, we worked with the postgraduate students in our e-conference and distinguished: a clearly defined goal, the structure of important information, step-by-step narrative, specific examples of the legislation of the text of dissertations, the logic of answers to numerous questions about the peculiarities of the anti-plagiarism program StrikePlagiarism.

On March 21, 2020 the training sessions on the discipline «Researcher’s Academic Culture: European and national Contexts» with the use of distance learning technologies for postgraduate students of the first year of study were conducted.

The objectives of the classes are: the formation of values of academic culture, norms of academic integrity, linguistic and communicative competence, the system of knowledge on national and European practices of academic ethics, academic mentoring, culture of academic communication; cognitive-discursive skills of operational processing and modeling of academic texts of various genres, including by means of digital technologies; readiness to carry out an effective dialogue in the process of presentation of the materials and research results within the scientific community, in particular within the interdisciplinary and/or an international expert environment on the basis of subject-subject relations.

Student Plagiarism, Part 2, we discussed how not to promote student plagiarism and share ideas that teachers could implement.

We are grateful to Yevhen Nikolaev for important materials which promote clearer understanding of the questions of avoidance of plagiarism, help to get acquainted with the best world practices and to understand what «academic integrity» should be in Ukraine.

On March 31, 2020, the project team participated in a Facebook webinar of the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine «Erasmus + during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Solutions». More than 150 representatives of international departments of Ukrainian universities, Erasmus + coordinators, project team on international credit mobility, development of the potential of higher education joined the video conference.

During a Facebook webinar, Svitlana SHITIKOVA, NEO Coordinator in Ukraine, spoke about the coordination of Erasmus + projects on academic mobility, the development of higher education potential and Jean Monnet during the quarantine period over the COVID-19 pandemic. The speaker focused on explaining how to act on Erasmus + project teams in accordance with the recommendations of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, European Commission (EACEA).

Valuable information on project management is contained in a presentation by P. Krainik, a member of the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine.

The project manager A. Sbruieva consulted with P. Krainik about the possibility of changing the form of training to distance learning in the quarantine conditions and addressed some proposals for the representatives of Erasmus +.

On March 13, 2020 we informed the postgraduate students that the final classes of the training course of CompHEd taught in the framework of the Jean Monnet Module project would be postponed due to the introduction of a quarantine connected with a pandemic coronavirus. The roundtable meeting will be held after the quarantine is completed.
