Summer School for the Training Course «Academic Writing»

On August 17, 2020 Summer School for the Training Course «Academic Writing» opened its door for the graduates, applicants and postgraduates at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. The first day is devoted to the writing process; particularly the following issues have been discussed: the background to writing; the purpose of academic writing; the common types of academic writing; the format of long and short writing tasks; the features of academic writing; simple and complex sentences; writing in paragraphs. An English-language video «What is effective academic writing?» was presented and discussed with students at the classes.

International Conference «Models of interdisciplinary and intersectoral educational and educational-scientific programs: challenges, opportunities and implementation options»

On June 25, 2020 International Conference «Models of interdisciplinary and intersectoral educational and educational-scientific programs: challenges, opportunities and implementation options» brought together the experts from Poland and Ukraine in Odessa.

The reports of the participants were devoted to the analysis of the best international and domestic practices of creation and implementation of interdisciplinary, cross- and transdisciplinary educational and educational-scientific programs.

We were grateful to Odessa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov, a wonderful host, the co-organizers: IF «International Fund for Educational Policy Research», Faculty of Artes Liberales, University of Warsaw, PO «Innovative University».

We presented to the conference the following topic of the speech «Interdisciplinary approach in the preparation of future masters in the educational program Secondary Education (The Ukrainian language and literature. The English language)». The presentation was prepared within the project «Europeanization of Doctoral Studies in the Field of Education: Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Approaches» (Jean Monnet module).

Participation in the International Scientific Conference «Implementation of European Standards into Ukrainian Educational Research»

On June 26, 2020 Professors Sbruieva A.A. and Semenog O.M. took part in the International Scientific Conference «Implementation of European Standards into Ukrainian Educational Research».

The event was held within the project of Ukrainian Educational Research Association. «European Quality Indicators of Educational Research for Empowerment of Educators in Ukraine» (№ 587032-EPP-1-2017-1-EN-EPPJMO-SUPPA) was co-financed by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union.

Moderators: Svitlana Shchudlo – President of Ukrainian Educational Research Association, Doctor of Sociology, Professor of Ivan Franko Drohobych State Pedagogical University; Oksana Zabolotna – Vice-President of Ukrainian Educational Research Association, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

The plenary was addressed by Joe O’Hara, President of the European Educational Research Association, Professor of Dublin City University, Ireland; Petro Krainik – Representative of the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine, Jean Monnet Coordinator; Sergiy Kurbatov, Adviser of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Philosophy, Chief Researcher of the Department of Internationalization of Higher Education, Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
