On April 20, 2021, the classes of the doctoral seminar «Culture of Scientific Mentoring» took place. The topic of the classes is «Scientific mentoring in reforming Ukrainian education on the basis of Europeanness». The topic of the classes was planned for 4 hours.
The following issues were clarified at the classes:
- Mentoring is one of the components of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Mentoring culture in Ukrainian and European universities.
- Practice of scientific mentoring for effective scientific activity and teaching: European, national and institutional dimensions.
- Scientific and pedagogical mentoring as support for young teachers of professional skills.
- Scientific and pedagogical mentoring as one of the components of adaptation and socialization of a novice teacher.
- Specific qualities of a research mentor: identity, democracy, dialogue, research, leadership, social orientation, cooperation.
- Functions of mentors: socio-pedagogical, advisory, spiritual.
