01.11.2018 - The Laboratory of Comparative Pedagogy and the whole scientific-pedagogical community of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko sincerely congratulates the young comparative scholars - Donchenko Viktoriyu Mykolayivnu and Hubinu Oksanu Yuriyivnu on the approval of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decision of the specialized academic council of the University regarding the awarding of a scientific degree of the candidate of pedagogical sciences.
On October 31, 2018, a joint meeting of the Chair of Pedagogy and the Laboratory of Comparative Pedagogy of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko took place. The report on the implementation of the scientific work by the postgraduate student Arischenko A. S. on the theme «Organizational and Pedagogical Foundations of Inclusive Education of Students at the Universities of the USA» (supervisor - Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Boychenko M.A.) was presented.
The theoretical, normative, organizational, content and procedural foundations for teaching students with special educational needs in American universities have been analyzed. The recommendations on the implementation of progressive American experience on the investigated problem in Ukraine are presented. The participants of the meeting have stressed on the need to draw Ukrainian society’s attention to the actual problems of education of various categories of people with special educational needs in Ukraine, in particular, combatants, displaced people, talented youth, etc. The reviewers of the submitted research (Doctor of pedagogical sciences, prof. A. A. Sbrueva and the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor I.A. Chistyakova) have analyzed the positive aspects and disadvantages of the dissertation in details and have drawn attention to the necessity of observing the principles of scientific integrity and interdisciplinarity in the fulfillment of comparative-pedagogical research.
On October 26, 2018, the presentation of the module «Europeanization of doctoral studies in the field of education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» (coordinator professor A.A. Sbruieva) within the framework of the 2-nd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovations in Education and Pedagogical Skills of the Language and Literature Teacher» was held for teachers of Sumy and Sumy region. The round table meeting «Academic Culture of a Teacher-Researcher in the context of the New Ukrainian School» (supervisor - professor – O.M. Semenog) took place.
On October 17, 2018, a meeting of the editorial and publishing council of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko was held. The participants of the project (prof. A.A. Sbruieva and prof. O.M. Semenog) presented the Module Curriculum which was approved by the members of the meeting. The project participants commented on the stages of the project implementation and described the creative works that would be presented in future for approval by the Editorial and Academic Council of the University.
On October 12 and 13, 2018, the defence of candidate dissertations in the field of comparative pedagogy took place in Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, which provided opportunities for young researchers to get a wonderful experience presenting their own research in the professional audience.
