We invite you to take part in the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference for Students and Young Scientists «EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY: IMAGE, MOBILITY AND SOCIAL PROSPECTS» dedicated to the 95-th anniversary of the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko and the 30-th anniversary of the Programs of Jean Monnet, which will be held on April 25-26, 2019, on the basis of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Pedagogics and Psychology of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko.

DEFENCE OF THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATION

On March 28, 2019, the doctoral dissertation was defended by Boychenko M.A., a member of the School of Pedagogical Comparative Studies of the University, on the topic «Theoretical and methodological foundations of education of gifted schoolchildren in the USA, Canada and Great Britain».

The thesis is a comprehensive study in which the theoretical and methodological foundations of education of gifted schoolchildren in the USA, Canada and Great Britain are grounded in order to determine the innovative potential of using progressive conceptual ideas of the experience of the studied countries in the practice of Ukrainian schooling.

At the defence of the dissertation the postgraduate students, who are the members of the Jean Monnet Project, specializing in «Educational, Pedagogical Sciences» were presented. The materials and conclusions of the dissertation, the procedure for its protection became the subject of discussion at the classes with postgraduate students and at academic events at the University.

Participation of the project members Jean Monnet in the round table meeting «Implementation of innovative projects in the practice of Ukrainian higher education: realities, lessons, problems»

The round table was held on March 21, 2019 at Sumy National Agrarian University. The participants of the meeting were the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the Ukrainian State Center of International Education, the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy Regional State Administration, the representatives of Ukrainian Higher Education Establishments – the participants of the different phases of the Polish-Ukrainian project «Innovation University and Leadership». The moderator of the event is the President of the International Fund for Research in Educational Policy, Professor of Warsaw University T.V. Phinikov.

Ukraine - European Union: From Partnership to Association

On March 19-20, 2019, on the initiative of the Ukrainian Association of Teachers and Researchers of European Integration at the National University of Lviv named after Ivan Franko an international scientific and practical conference «Ukraine – European Union: From Partnership to Association» was held and it was devoted to the 25-th anniversary of the signing of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

The themes of the speeches and articles were submitted by the executors of the project Jean Monnet prof. A. Sbruiva and prof. O. Semenog, associate professor Zh. Chernyakova of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko.

Programm of the Conference

Internship at the University of Münser (Germany) at the Catholic Theological Faculty

During January and February 2019 the project participant – a postgraduate student of the specialty «Educational Sciences» Taraban Yu.V. was trained at the University of Münser (Germany) at the Catholic Theological Faculty. The purpose of the internship was to get acquainted with the source base of the research problem (scientific and methodical literature); participation in scientific, educational and cultural events of the University; gaining experience of discussing scientific problems with scientists and students of the University. The experience of internship at the European University acquired by a postgraduate student will be the subject of the discussion with other project participants.
