On October 24-25, 2019 the presentation of the module «Europeanization of doctoral studies in the field of education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» (coordinator – Prof. A. Sbruieva) and a roundtable meeting «Academic Culture of the Teacher-Researcher in the Context of the New Ukrainian School» (Prof. O. Semenog) within the framework of the Third All-Ukrainian Scientific-Practical Conference «Innovations in Education and Pedagogical Skills of the Language and Literature Teacher» for teachers of Sumy and Sumy region will be held.

On August 21, 2019 the third day was devoted to the most urgent problem in the scientific community – plagiarism. We discussed the following questions: avoiding plagiarism by summarizing and paraphrasing; avoiding plagiarism by developing good study habits; from understanding the titles to planning; the planning process; analyzing the essay titles. In conclusion the students expressed their point of view on the importance of learning this course for postgraduates.
On August 20, 2019 the second day of summer school began with watching and discussing the video about the effective academic writing. Besides we focused attention on suitable sources for reading (academic texts, types of text, using reading lists, library catalogues, websites of libraries to search electronic resources). Special attention has been paid on the development of critical thinking.
On August 19, 2019 Summer School for the Training Course «Academic Writing» opened its door for the graduates, applicants and postgraduates at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. The first day is devoted to the writing process; particularly the following issues have been discussed: the background to writing; the purpose of academic writing; the common types of academic writing; the format of long and short writing tasks; the features of academic writing; simple and complex sentences; writing in paragraphs.
