The Jean Monnet project participants took part in the seminar «PRO Integrity: instruments for implementing into the activity of higher education institution». The seminar was held on July 25, 2019 at Sumy State University with the participation of Anatoly Vasilyev – rector of SSU, Taras Finikov – professor of the University of Warsaw, President of the International Foundation for Educational Policy Studies, Vira Ternovskaya – a representative of the US Embassy, Artem Artyukhov – a member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine, the head of the SSU Academic Integrity Promotion Group.
In particular, there was a presentation of the «Academic Integrity» website, the online course «Academic Integrity: Challenges, Actions, Success Stories» (by professor Taras Finikov and Artem Artyuhov, the head of the SSU Academic Integrity Promotion Group), the purpose of which is to promote the principles and behavioral models based on academic integrity. The course is available in test access. Target groups are the students of all educational levels, postgraduate and doctoral students, lecturers, university management, all categories of educators and scholars, students of advanced training courses, representatives of any professions. The Open Online Course «Academic Integrity: Challenges, Actions, Success Stories» is one of the first attempts, in the authors’ opinion, to show comprehensively how the academic community understands academic integrity, what mechanisms and procedures for its implementation have developed what place in this are the declarations, charters and codes of academic conduct, which system of relations between all members of the educational community is capable of ensuring mutual respect, free exchange of ideas, professional and personal improvement, exclusion of any manifestations of dishonesty and injustice.
