WORKSHOP: INTRODUCTION INTO THE COURSE «ACADEMIC WRITING»

On October 29, 2019 the workshop «Introduction into the course «Academic Writing» was conducted by a candidate of pedagogical sciences Zhanna Chernyakova, a member of the project Jean Monnet Module at the International Conference «Education for the XXI Century: Challenges, Problems and Prospects» at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. The objectives of the workshop are to identify the key features of the effective academic writing; to define the main components of academic writing.

III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovations in Education and Pedagogical Skills of the Language and Literature Teacher»

On October 24-25, 2019 the Third All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovations in Education and Pedagogical Skills of the Language and Literature Teacher» was held in which famous Ukrainian scientists, methodists, teachers of Sumy and Sumy region took an active part.

Within the framework of the conference a roundtable meeting «Academic Culture of the Teacher-Researcher in the Context of the New Ukrainian School» (Prof. O. Semenog) was held. The presentation of the tasks and results of the module «Europeanization of doctoral studies in the field of education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» was offered by the coordinator – Prof. A. Sbruieva.

Jean Monnet Module: Project Team Participation in World Flashmob October 10, 2019 #ErasmusDays

October 10, 2019 the participants of Jean Monnet Module (Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko) joined a global flashmob dedicated to the EU Erasmus Program. Jean Monnet Module within the framework of the program «Europeanization of doctoral studies in the field of education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches», which aims at intensifying the European integration discourse, promoting the perfection of European integration studies, involvement in the study of European integration processes, started at higher education institution in September 2018..

Classes of the Training Course «Academic Writing»

On October 8, 2019 the postgraduates got acquainted with the topic «Written Communication of Academic Character». Different types of written communication were characterized in details, in particular submission of an application for a grant, an interview, grant-writing and others. The postgraduates had practical tasks to fill in the written forms, to communicate with their partners and to exchange their ideas.

Training Course «ACADEMIC WRITING»

On October 1, 2019 the classes were devoted to the issues of transfer and exchange of scientific information on the basis of reading texts on specialty. The students watched the video and discussed it with the partners. They got acquainted with useful phrases and vocabulary. Participation in conferences, scientific disputes on the topic of research was discoursed with the postgraduates.
