On September 24, 2019 the first lecture under the title «Academic Writing. Critical Approaches to reading and Writing» was conducted to the postgraduate students of the second course. The main features of effective academic writing were defined. The first seminar was devoted to personal and professional identification. The students worked with the partners, discussed the given questions and coped with the written tasks.

On September 16, 2019 the members of Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module Program took part in the defence of the doctoral dissertation of the Polish citizen Dariusz Skalski, an adjunct of Academy of Physical Education named after M.Sc. Andzej Sniadecki in Gdansk (Department of Sport and Water Sports). The topic of the dissertation is «Concepts of physical education in the countries of the European Union». The scientific consultant of the dissertation is doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Oksana Zabolotnaya, who is well-known for broad experience of cooperation with the scientists from the EU countries and has been successful in working with the EU Grants, including completing the Jean Monnet Module program. Leading Ukrainian scientists, doctors of pedagogical sciences, professors Anatoliy Kuzminsky, Andrey Suschenko and Elena Lokshina became the opponents of Dariusz Skalsky’s dissertation.

On August 29, 2019 the tasks of the first year of the project was completed. The project coordinator prof. A. Sbruieva prepared a report on the implementation of the project objectives. The report was made public at the meeting of the Scientific Council of Educational and Scientific Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko. The text of the report was sent to the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture of European Union.

The participants of the Module team are planning to complete the preparation of the textbooks for the courses being taught, to approbate them, to expand further the dissemination of the ideas of Europeanization of doctoral studies in the national educational and scientific space for the next year.

A number of representative international conferences which involve students and young scientists, as well as experienced and well-known in Ukraine and abroad experts in the field of higher education theory and practice will contribute to the realization of these tasks.
